PwC New Zealand is seeking a technical Solution Designer to join their Pōneke / Wellington team. This pivotal role focuses on designing and delivering modern CIAM and authorization solutions within a large-scale financial services environment. The successful candidate will engage hands-on in developing authentication journeys, supporting API design, and defining authorization patterns for various channels including web, mobile, APIs, and partner channels. Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Strong experience in Solution Design / IAM / CIAM, with the ability to work hands-on where needed.
- Deep experience with Ping / ForgeRock, ideally including:
- PingOne Advanced Identity Cloud (AIC)
- PingAuthorize
- Strong hands-on experience designing and developing:
- Authentication journeys
- MFA and adaptive access flows
- SSO and federation patterns
- API security and integration services
- Experience with API build and testing, including working with REST services, JSON, and integration patterns.
- Strong knowledge of:
- OAuth2
- OpenID Connect
- SAML
- JWT token and session design
- Experience with policy-based authorization, API/microservices access control, and fine-grained access models.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, deployment processes, and environment promotion, ideally in cloud or modern engineering environments.
- Financial services experience highly preferred, especially across banking, insurance, wealth, or super/member platforms.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, technical documentation, and delivery collaboration skills.
