Job Overview

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

​​Batterjee Medical College is seeking an experienced ERP Consultant​ to lead the implementation, optimization, and continuous improvement of the Odoo ERP platform. This role is responsible for analyzing business requirements, configuring Odoo solutions, managing ERP projects, supporting end users, and collaborating with technical teams to deliver scalable, high-quality enterprise solutions that support academic and administrative operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Analysis & Requirement Gathering

  • Analyze business requirements and map them accurately to Odoo functionalities.
  • Engage with key stakeholders to understand workflows, document processes, and identify system improvement opportunities.
  • Translate business processes into functional specifications for technical teams.
  • Create and maintain business process documentation and visual process maps.

System Configuration & Implementation

  • Perform full system implementation, module setup, and advanced Odoo configurations.
  • Test modules and functionalities, ensuring they meet defined requirements.
  • Coordinate with Odoo developers to customize and enhance system performance.
  • Support data migration, system validation, and go-live activities.
  • Ensure quality assurance and user acceptance testing are completed successfully.

Project Management & Delivery

  • Manage assigned Odoo projects and tasks, ensuring delivery within scope, time, and quality standards.
  • Track project progress and maintain reporting documentation including project plans and task lists.
  • Collaborate with the Enterprise Systems Director to prioritize system enhancements and upgrades.
  • Contribute to research and advisory on new Odoo modules, apps, and verticals to meet institutional requirements.

User Training & Support

  • Conduct end-user and departmental training on Odoo modules and best practices.
  • Coach business users on how to utilize Odoo effectively and autonomously.
  • Deliver training sessions on-site or remotely, ensuring adoption and understanding.
  • Provide functional support and guidance post-implementation.

Quality & Continuous Improvement

  • Enhance the quality and performance of Odoo products and services.
  • Evaluate system performance and recommend optimization measures.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of business processes and IT systems.
  • Stay current with Odoo updates, best practices, and community advancements.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of configurations, enhancements, and workflows.
  • Prepare reports on Odoo performance, issues, and proposed improvements.
  • Support audits and compliance reviews related to system operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Odoo Certification or formal Odoo training is an advantage.

Experience

  • 8–15 years of experience in Odoo Functional Consulting or ERP implementation.
  • Proven experience in business process analysis, solution design, and functional configuration.
  • Experience implementing and supporting Odoo ERP across multiple business functions.
  • Exposure to HR, Finance, Procurement, or Administrative modules is highly preferred.

Required Skills

  • Strong expertise in Odoo ERP implementation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization.
  • Solid understanding of ERP business processes and data management.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into functional specifications.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken); Arabic is an advantage.
