- Network Security & Architecture: Supporting the analysis and implementation of modern network security architectures aligned with Zero Trust principles. This includes modern remote access, SASE/SSE solutions (Zscaler preferred), network segmentation, and least-privilege access policies using Cisco, Palo Alto, and similar technologies.
- Firewall & Threat Protection: Hands-on experience with Cisco, Palo Alto, and Zscaler for firewall and zero trust policy management, threat detection, and web security.
- Secure Connectivity: Assisting in implementing VPN, SD-WAN, and access control solutions.
- Security Operations & Compliance: Working with SIEM/SOC tools, incident response processes, and compliance standards (NIST, CIS, ISO 27001).
- Network Management & Monitoring: Experience collecting and analyzing network traffic (packet captures and firewall logs) as well as an understanding of how organizations manage and monitor their enterprise networks via a Network Operations Center (NOC).
- Cloud & Hybrid Security: Understanding secure cloud networking, IAM, and leading industry practices for securing cloud environments using native and 3rd party tools.
- OT Security: Basic knowledge of securing ICS/SCADA environments and industry regulations.
