Role: QHSE Professional- (LATAM focused) Bilingual Spanish/English. Department: Professional Services. Location: US - Remote.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
SUMMARYThe Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental (QHSE) Professional supports Avetta clients and contractor/supplier members throughout the pre-qualification and audit process through review, verification, and coaching of QHSE Programs, Procedures, and Requirements.
The QHSE Associate has no supervisory responsibilities and requires being fluent in both Spanish and English; safety audit experience in LATAM countries is essential for this role.If residing within commutable distance to one of our offices, a hybrid schedule would be required(3 days in office, 2 days work from home). Candidates within commutable distance are preferred, but those outside of an office area may be considered on a remote basis. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Conduct Desktop Safety Program (Manual Audit), Implementation, & Field QHSE Audits/Assessments where a review of a company’s QHSE programs, procedures, training documentation, or field execution of protocols is reviewed
- Gap assess contractor/supplier HSE management systems, programs, procedures and protocols based on services provided
- Apply general risk and hazard assessment methodology across a variety of industries that Avetta will service (e.g., Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Industrial, Communications, Facility Management, Construction, Mining, Aviation, Transportation, Marine/Maritime Operations, and Rail)
- Assist contractors/suppliers with closing gaps or deficiencies identified within the audit
- Ability to coach contractor/supplier with developing policies/procedures based on regulatory requirements
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries
- Handle and resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally
- Perform customer safety exposure and hazard verifications
- Manage customers' accounts
- Record details of inquiries, comments and complaints
- Record details of actions taken
- Communicate and coordinate with internal departments
- Follow up on customer interactions
- MUST HAVE RELIABLE TRANSPORTATION
- Travel associated with this position can be expected between 25-30% depending on Client Demand/Departmental needs
- Reliable and predictive attendance
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Performs other duties as assigned.
- May be required to attend training, meetings, or seminars.
- Required to travel in the event of implementation and field work
IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS:- Cognitive skills with the ability to be trained to effectively interpret and make decisions based on regulatory Latin America Countries Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations (Such as: STPS Norma Official Mexicana, SRT and ART for Argentina, and similar Department of labor regulations)
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of OSHA and other Regulatory Agencies (EPA, MSHA, NFPA, NIOSH, ANSI, ISO, etc.)
- Industry & Field HSE Experience
- HSE Auditing experience a plus
- An affinity for learning online software systems
- Excellent time management skills
- Excellent Professional communication skills – both written and oral
- Bi-lingual proficiency (Spanish) is required
- Working PC knowledge, windows preferred and related applications

METRICS THAT MATTER:- Conduct Audits in a quality manner in accordance with Avetta Protocol - 95% +/qtr
- Ensure SLA achievement for assigned audits – 95% +/mo
- Manual Audits – 10 Business Days from Assignment to Queue; Review Open Requirements on Audits within 3 business days
- Vetify Audits – 2 business days to Submit; 1 business day for Open Requirements
- Conduct 40+ Audits per month (Initial review with gaps or to closure); this may increase on demand.
- 24-hour Response time to Suppliers (email or phone); this Correspondence will be documented in the Case.

The final compensation offered to a candidate will be determined by several factors, including work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.The salary range for this position is $46,500 - $70,000 USD per year.
