In actuarial services at PwC, you will be responsible for analysing and managing financial risks for clients through statistical modelling and data analysis. Your work will generate valuable insights and recommendations to help businesses make informed decisions and mitigate potential risks.

As a Senior Associate, you will provide actuarial services to our insurance, reinsurance, and captive insurance clients and support the further development of our actuarial consulting practice.

  • Providing audit support to a range of (re)insurers, from SEC registrants to single-parent captives;
  • Providing actuarial consulting services including reserving, pricing, merger and acquisition support, enterprise risk management and capital modelling and other actuarial projects;
  • Keeping up to date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging actuarial techniques.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and actuarial standards of practice;
  • Coaching junior actuarial team members and support their professional development; and
  • Proficiently using software, spreadsheets and other tools to perform and document your work.

Qualifications and other skills required:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant actuarial experience, preferably within a consulting or professional services environment.
  • Demonstrate continued success on actuarial exams.
  • Flexibility to work professional hours, which may go beyond core office hours as required to deliver distinctive client service.
  • Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to learn, and enthusiasm to embrace new technologies.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage several ongoing projects simultaneously while meeting tight deadlines.
