Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens opened in March 2019 and provides a preferred address for both business and leisure travelers, and the highly personalized, anticipatory service that Four Seasons guests expect and value around the world. The Arion Hotel was built in 1967 and has 106 keys and 61 Bungalows, and the Nafsika opened in 1980 and has 136 keys. Under the same ownership is a large private beach club and marina. Nafsika is open through the year, while Arion and the bungalows operate eight months of the year. Adding to the complement of on-site F&B operations (8 Restaurants and Bars), there are also two third party restaurants on site. About the Role At Four Seasons Astir Palace Hotel Athens (ranked No. 17 in the Worldâs 50 Best Hotels), we are seeking an exceptional Senior Director of Spa to lead our Spa and Sports & Recreation operations. As Senior Director of Spa, you will be a visionary hospitality leader with extensive experience in luxury wellness and spa operations. You will be responsible for shaping the long-term strategy and positioning of our Spa, driving commercial success, elevating the guest experience, and developing a high-performing leadership team. Working closely with the Hotel Manager and Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in defining the future of our wellness offering while ensuring operational excellence, innovation, and alignment with Four Seasons standards. What You Will Do Provide strategic leadership and overall direction for the Spa and Sports & Recreation operations, ensuring operational excellence, exceptional guest experiences, team engagement, and achievement of business objectives. Develop and execute the long-term vision, strategy, and business plan for the Spa and Wellness offering, identifying opportunities for growth, innovation, and market differentiation. Own and drive the financial performance of the Spa and Sports & Recreation operations, including revenue generation, profitability, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, and achievement of annual financial targets. Partner with the Hotel Manager and Senior Leadership Team to develop strategic priorities, operational plans, and initiatives that support the overall success of the hotel. Identify, attract, and retain top talent by establishing effective recruitment strategies, succession planning, career development opportunities, and leadership pipelines. Continuously evaluate and enhance Spa treatments, wellness experiences, products, services, and operational concepts to remain competitive and aligned with evolving luxury hospitality trends. Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with luxury wellness brands, suppliers, and external stakeholders to enhance the guest experience and support business growth. What You Bring Extensive leadership experience within a luxury hotel, resort, or destination spa environment. Proven success in leading large operational teams while driving business growth, profitability, and service excellence. Strong commercial acumen with experience managing budgets, forecasting, revenue optimization, and P&L performance. Demonstrated ability to develop high-performing leaders through coaching, mentoring, and succession planning. Excellent strategic thinking, communication, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills. Passion for wellness, luxury hospitality, innovation, and creating exceptional guest experiences. Fluency in English is essential; additional languages will be considered an advantage.
