Have you completed a quantitative study and do you value personal development? In our dynamic team, you help various clients with complex problems and challenging issues in the field of risk modeling, data analysis, and quantitative consulting in a broad sense, focused on non-life and disability insurance. Will you strengthen our team?
What you will do: You will work within our broad Insurance / Risk Modeling Services practice. At PwC, hybrid working is the starting point: depending on what your day looks like, you work from home, at the client's office, or at one of our offices (Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or Utrecht). You will work on assignments for non-life and disability insurers, investors, and sometimes other companies. Their success partly depends on your strategic insight, your analytical and communication skills, and your courage to propose innovative ideas. You collaborate with colleagues from other teams to help our clients as effectively as possible from different disciplines. Depending on the situation, you lead teams or carry out activities yourself.
Depending on your interests and ambition, you may, among other things, be involved in the following activities:
  • Designing and modeling climate risks, insurance risks, and other financial risk models (pricing, reserving, economic capital, etc.);
  • Validating, reviewing, or auditing these models;
  • Analyzing big data at insurers and regulators and thereby designing practical solutions for these clients' issues, for example, using machine learning algorithms or other state-of-the-art techniques;
  • Claims Analytics: Analyzing data on claims processing to help insurers reduce claims costs;
  • Supporting mergers and acquisitions;
  • Quantitative consulting using R, Python, or another programming language.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

You are someone who loves challenges and is curious about the possibilities to advise our clients as well as possible. You have your own vision and opinion and are willing to speak up within a team of clients and colleagues. You therefore want to gain more experience in advising non-life and disability insurers and leading projects. You want to grow, build relationships, and get the best out of yourself and your colleagues.
  • You have a completed academic degree in Econometrics, Quantitative Finance, Actuarial Sciences, Mathematics, or a comparable technical study and have followed courses in risk modeling / financial modeling;
  • You have at least 6 years of relevant work experience in risk modeling with non-life or disability insurance companies and/or consultancy;
  • You have a good command of the Dutch and English languages;
  • You enjoy analyzing and solving new problems in a practical and creative way;
  • You know how to inspire and retain clients with your advisory skills;
  • You enjoy working in a team.

General Conditions:

What we offer: At PwC, you get the chance to be yourself, get the best out of yourself in a high-performance organization, and grow within our global network. As part of our team, we offer, among other things:
  • A competitive salary, attractive pension scheme, and the opportunity to grow;
  • Tailor-made training for professional growth and leadership development;
  • Motivating work environment where collaboration with ambitious colleagues and recognition for your contributions are highly valued;
  • Extensive employment conditions including a 'well-being budget' for physical and mental health;
  • Flexibility of hybrid working, including an ergonomic home workplace and a net expense allowance for internet and other costs;
  • Attractive mobility options, including an electric lease car, compensation for not using a car, and the possibility to use various shared mobility providers;
  • 32 vacation days per year;
  • Nice extras such as various informal company activities.
This is just a selection of our employment conditions. More information can be found on our website.
