The Chief Data Office (CDO) of PwC France & Maghreb is recruiting a Data Governance Manager to sustainably lead Data Governance activities, manage the team, develop the data governance strategy, and ensure operational delivery. This position is part of the Data Governance and Strategy (DGS) team, structured around two poles: a Portfolio Project Management (PPM) pole and a Data Governance pole. The position concerns the Data Governance pole with a focus on leadership, expertise, and delivery. The Manager will operate in a cross-functional environment, with strong exposure to business lines and data stakeholders, on both strategic and operational topics. The Manager will report to the Head of Data Governance and Strategy. S/he will lead the Data Governance pole, composed of 6 collaborators: 3 based in Tunis; 3 based in Paris; The team has a heterogeneous level of autonomy, with experienced and junior profiles requiring guidance and support. The objective of this Manager Data Governance role is to:

  • Ensure sustainable managerial and operational leadership of the Data Governance pole;
  • Define and deploy the data governance strategy in close collaboration with the Management Team;
  • Develop the team's skills and support the pole's maturation;
  • Guarantee the quality of deliverables and the value provided to business stakeholders;
  • Drive an innovation dynamic, particularly around Artificial Intelligence (AI) uses, by promoting the adoption of AI-augmented tools and methods in the team's daily practices.

The scope notably covers Data Governance, program and data project management, animation of governance bodies and committees, and business support. The Manager will be directly involved in leading and contributing to several structuring programs for the department, which constitute priority axes such as AI Data Ready, Mindset, Data Quality Program, and Orchestra Program. This role is key for PwC Careers and Digital Transformation initiatives, requiring strong Data Management and AI Data Strategy skills.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

We are looking for a manager-level profile with strong autonomy, capable of working on both Delivery and team management, with a strong appetite for artificial intelligence and innovation. The Manager must demonstrate:

  • Confirmed expertise in Data Governance.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional projects in complex and transforming environments.
  • Strong autonomy in managing activities.
  • Proven managerial experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with business departments, enabling them to position themselves as a true partner.
  • Ability to make achievements tangible to stakeholders.
  • Ability to identify opportunities for AI use in governance processes and mobilize the team in a continuous improvement approach through technology.

The Manager is expected to:

  • Demonstrate pragmatism with a "risk-based" approach.
  • Adopt a proactive, autonomous, organized, and results-oriented attitude.
  • Be a source of proposals.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Have a fluent level of English allowing work in an international environment.
  • Experience with the Collibra tool would be an additional asset.
