As a business application consulting generalist at PwC, you will provide consulting services for a wide range of business applications. You will leverage a broad understanding of various software solutions to assist clients in optimising operational efficiency through analysis, implementation, training, and support.
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, and maintain Oracle WebLogic Server environments (12c or later).
- Manage WebLogic domains, clusters, managed servers, and node managers.
- Deploy, monitor, and troubleshoot Java EE applications (WAR, EAR, JAR) on WebLogic Server.
- Perform patching, upgrades, and security hardening of WebLogic infrastructure.
- Automate deployments and routine tasks using WLST, Shell, or Python scripts.
- Configure and manage JMS, JDBC, and data sources within WebLogic.
- Collaborate with development, QA, and network teams to resolve performance issues and improve application stability.
- Monitor server health using management tools and logs; perform proactive tuning.
- Analyze thread dumps, heap dumps, and GC logs for troubleshooting.
- Maintain documentation on configurations, procedures, and issues.
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support and incident management.
- Ensure compliance with documentation standards and internal policies.
Mandatory Skill Sets:
- Oracle WebLogic Server Administration (versions 10.x, 12c, 14c).
- Domain, cluster, managed server, and node manager configuration.
- Deployment of Java EE applications (WAR, EAR, JAR).
- JVM tuning and heap memory management.
- Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments (Red Hat, Oracle Linux, Solaris).
- Shell scripting (bash, ksh) for automation.
- SSL/TLS configuration, keystores, truststores, and certificate management.
- Performance tuning and troubleshooting (thread dumps, heap dumps, GC analysis).
- WLST scripting for domain automation.
- JDBC data source configuration and troubleshooting.
Preferred Skill Sets:
- Experience with Oracle Fusion Middleware components (SOA Suite, OSB, OHS, WebCenter).
- Integration with LDAP, SSO, or Active Directory.
- Familiarity with Jenkins, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Python or Ansible scripting for deployment and maintenance.
- Knowledge of Oracle Database.
- Exposure to WebSphere Administration, Cloud technologies, and application deployment.
Experience Required:
- 3–6 years of hands-on expertise in Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
Education Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Relevant Oracle or middleware certifications preferred.
