Job Description:

1. JOB SUMMARY:

1. The Aya will support healthcare services by providing basic patient care, maintaining hygiene, and assisting LHVs in ensuring the comfort and well-being of patients. The role is particularly focused on supporting women, children, and maternity cases in the health facility.

1. TASKS & ACCOUNTABILITIES:

1. Assist LHVs in patient examinations, deliveries, and minor procedures
2. Support pregnant women and mothers during pre- and post-natal care
3. Assist in handling newborns under the supervision of LHVs.
4. Manage crowed of ANC, PNC, family planning patients
5. Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of OPD & waiting area, labor room and delivery tables
6. Assist LHVs during patient handling, movement, and positioning
7. Ensure availability of cleanliness and assist in instrument sterilization
8. Ensure proper disposal of waste according to infection prevention and control (IPC) protocols.
9. Observe and report any changes in patient condition to nursing staff
10. Maintain respectful and culturally sensitive behavior with patients and attendants
11. Any other task assigned by supervisor

1.  JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Preferably local resident of Pishin or Killa Saifullah
• Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or maternity care is an advantage
• Basic knowledge of hygiene and patient care practices
• Physically fit and able to perform routine care tasks
• Good interpersonal skills with a caring and respectful attitude
