Kia ora, Innovate. Build. Reinvent. Make your tech skills count at PwC New Zealand. At PwC, our purpose is clear: to build trust in society and solve important problems. This is a place to keep growing. You’ll learn from the best, take on meaningful challenges, and make a lasting impact for our clients, our communities, and Aotearoa.

This internal role sits within our People & Culture team, the heart of our firm. You’ll play a key role in supporting our people and leaders, driving initiatives that create an exceptional employee experience and progress our P&C strategy. This is a full-time fixed-term contract for 6-months and we are seeking someone who is available to start immediately.

Your day-to-day could include: Supporting and delivering cyclical P&C programmes such as performance cycles, graduate and intern initiatives, and wellbeing/engagement surveys. Partnering with P&C Connect and Business Partners to ensure consistent, values-led employee experiences across the firm. Contributing to projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance organisational effectiveness and people outcomes. Collaborating with colleagues to share knowledge, balance workloads, and strengthen P&C capability across the team. Providing proactive advice and guidance to leaders and staff on performance, development and day to day employment matters, escalating complex cases to P&C Business Partners.

Eligibility / Qualification Required:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in a People & Culture generalist or advisory role, ideally in a medium or large organisation.
  • Strong knowledge of New Zealand employment legislation and ability to support minor employee relations matters.
  • Proven ability to use HR data and insights to inform decision-making and reporting.
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills, with credibility across a range of stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Office and exposure to HRIS or professional services environments; experience with graduate/intern programmes an advantage.
  • PwC encourages applications even if you don’t meet every requirement, as your skills and potential may be a great fit.

General Conditions:

  • Maintaining independence is fundamental to demonstrating that PwC has not been influenced by any relationships or situations that undermine objectivity. This role requires an independence review process.
  • Travel Requirements: Up to 20%.
  • Work Visa Sponsorship: Not available.

How to Apply:

  • Learn more about careers and apply directly through the PwC careers site at https://www.pwc.co.nz/careers.html.
  • The role may close before the listed date if a suitable candidate is identified, so early applications are encouraged.
  • PwC is not currently partnering with recruitment agencies for this role; direct applications are preferred.
  • Secure, A.I.-enabled tools may support parts of the recruitment process, but all applications are reviewed and decisions made by people.
