Eligibility / Qualification Required:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PICU Nurse to join a leading healthcare organization in Dubai. The PICU Nurse will be responsible for providing specialized critical care to infants, children, and adolescents with serious and life-threatening conditions. The ideal candidate must have strong clinical expertise in pediatric critical care and the ability to work effectively in a high-pressure environment while ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to critically ill pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
- Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs, neurological status, and overall condition, and report any changes immediately.
- Operate and monitor advanced life-support equipment, including ventilators, cardiac monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Assist physicians during emergency procedures and critical interventions.
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary medical team.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care, treatment plans, and progress.
- Ensure compliance with infection control policies, safety standards, and healthcare regulations.
- Provide emotional support and guidance to patients’ families and caregivers.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and continuous professional development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PICU or Pediatric Critical Care experience in a hospital setting.
- Valid nursing license from home country.
- Eligibility for nursing license in Dubai (DHA eligibility, license, or willingness to obtain).
- Strong knowledge of pediatric critical care procedures and equipment.
- Excellent clinical, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
- Experience in tertiary care or accredited hospitals is an advantage.
- Willing to work in Dubai.
