Job Summary:
The Manager Civil will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all civil, structural, and architectural aspects of the Data Center project from design through construction, commissioning, and handover. The role will ensure the project is delivered in accordance with approved designs, quality standards, project schedules, budget requirements, and Tier III data center design principles.
Job Description:
- Supervise all civil construction activities (structure, finishing, site work)
- Manage Service Level Agreements with civil contractors and vendors
- Review and approve civil drawings and designs
- Ensure compliance with building codes and safety standards
- Managing customer and vendor relationships
- Provide day-to-day oversight of construction activities
- Ensure coordination with electrical and HVAC teams
- Ensure support to project and operations teams
- Maintain construction quality and timelines
- Data center infrastructure planning and expansion
- Work with consultants for design and execution
- Ensure proper implementation of raised flooring and DC standards
- Ensure preventative maintenance and structural integrity
- Overall management of civil works
- Ensure timely completion of project
Education:
- BS Civil Engineering (HEC & PEC recognized)
Experience:
- 8+ years in construction/infrastructure projects
Professional Competencies:
- Understanding of Tier III/Tier IV data center requirements
- Knowledge of Uptime Institute design principles
- Familiarity with TIA-942 and EN50600 requirements
- Experience in mission-critical facility construction
- Structural steel design and coordination
- Project planning and scheduling
- AutoCAD and BIM/Revit coordination
