Role Overview:
This is a post designed to support and enable the further development of employee health services at SKMCH&RC, Peshawar. The incumbent will ensure provision of optimal health care to employees and their dependents. The appointee will be expected to work closely with other members of the Department of Internal Medicine as well as other departments to ensure health needs of employees are met effectively. The successful applicant will have a thorough grounding, both by training and experience, in all aspects of family medicine / general practice and be able to take independent clinical decisions in a skilled and effective manner. There is no on call commitment for this post
Eligibility / Qualification Required:
- Medical Practitioner with full and unencumbered registration with the PMDC / PMC.
- Appropriate postgraduate qualification in family medicine such as MRCGP, American board in family medicine or FCPS in Family Medicine.
- Evidence of extensive experience in a variety of in- and out-patient treatment facilities and settings.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to relate to patients and relatives in an understanding and sympathetic manner
- Ability to work as an effective member of a multidisciplinary team
- Ability to make independent and appropriate decisions
- Experience of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching
- Knowledge of and work undertaken for clinical audit
- Understanding of clinical governance principles
- Good leadership and organizational skills
- Ability to organize and manage outpatient priorities, waiting times/lists
- High level of professional and personal integrity to enhance the reputation of SKMCH&RC.
